The Val-d’Or Airport Development Council Inc. is a non-profit organization created in 2018, with the objective to develop the Val-d’Or Regional Airport through its activities and its Airport Park.

It was created through a partnership between the Val-d’Or Regional Airport (ARVO) and the Val-d’Or Industrial Development Corporation. The City of Val-d’Or also sits on its Board of Directors.

The Val-d’Or Airport Development Council was born of the desire from the Industrial Development Corporation and the Val-d’Or Regional Airport (ARVO) to promote this key sector of the city with the establishment of service companies relevant to the sector.

The first action carried out was the acquisition of lots for subdivision and the sale of plots in the Bombardier and Blériot Street areas.

The Val-d’Or Airport Development Council will work with ARVO and the City of Val-d’Or to plan the development of land and civil infrastructure, the sale of lots and the administrative management of the sector. The organization has begun the process of securing a dozen sites for the construction of light industrial businesses on Bombardier Street. It is also initiating preliminary development work on Blériot Street.
